About

Miles Raneri specializes in product design and mixed media sculpture. He has a degree in Design from Tulane University, where he also pursued minors in Studio Arts (with a focus on glass blowing), and Strategy, Leadership, Analytics, and Management (SLAM). While at Tulane, he exhibited multiple pieces as part of Newcomb Undergraduate exhibitions. His work is grounded in strong maker skills—spanning hands-on fabrication, material exploration, and sculptural craft—bringing a tactile, process-driven approach to every project.

Miles grew up in San Francisco, California, where he discovered his passion for design and building. In addition to design and glassblowing, Miles is an experienced welder and photographer, and has experience working with both wood and textiles. He was a four-time Maker Faire “Editors Choice” blue ribbon winner. (Projects included a remote-controlled blimp, amphibious vehicle, and modern reinterpretation of Leonardo DaVinci’s armored tank.) And, in high school he designed an inexpensive, portable wind-power solution for underdeveloped countries.
